October is National Orthodontic Health Month and orthodontists around the nation take this time to share their “Flossophy” with patients, parents and the local community.
The guys at the American Association of Orthodontists work extra hours this month, campaigning around the United States and Canada, targeting newspapers and TV at the national and local levels. Last year more than 79 million people were exposed to the Orthodontic Month and this year we’re even going for more.
You must be wondering how come October was chosen as the Orthodontic Health Month. Well, wonder no more! At the end of this month there’s a special holiday that children love and bacteria adores. That’s right! Halloween!
This year, we want all of you guys to become real heroes and avoid the treats that can play tricks on your braces! Don't eat anything that’s hard, sticky or chewy like caramel, taffy, popcorn or hard nuts and enjoy only braces-friendly treats! Hey it’s Orthodontic Month! It’s the law!
If you want more information about Orthodontic Month give us a call 718.622.2695 and discover all the treats and goodies we've got for you at Hanson Place Orthodontics.
